Google adds AI Search agents that monitor topics for users

Google unveiled “information agents” in AI Mode, letting users ask Google to watch a topic and push updates when something changes [1]. The feature, announced at I/O 2026, works by scanning web pages, financial feeds, sports scores and social posts, then delivering a brief summary and links through the Google app whenever a relevant shift occurs.
